Saturday, June 18th

Linds, Laura, Jesamine, and I were excited to sleep in this morning.  We woke up a little bit before ten.  Laura is our legendary coffee maker, so I asked her if she could oblige us with her talent.  A few minute later, Lindsey noticed that there was coffee shooting out of our coffeemaker.  It was entertaining to watch the two of them figure out how to stop the leak.  Laura came to the conclusion that there is a crack somewhere so we have to always turn the handle to the left.  Go ghetto coffee pot!  J
Next, Linds and I went for a walk along the shore with our cameras.  We saw a ton of little crabs.  I was actually pretty excited because this is surprisingly the first time I have seen any.  After taking a ton of pictures of shells, boats, condos, crabs, and waves, Linds turned around because she needed to get back for a Bible Study with Remya.  I finished walking to the Pier and called my mom and then my Aunt Kelly and Maw Maw.  I found out that Mom was at Jamboree Days in Hartford and was running a Mary Kay booth.  I am so proud of her (I recruited her, haha.)
I swam for a little while but then had to hurry up and shower before heading to Wal-Mart.  Today cashiering was crazy busy.  There were a lot of tourists stocking up for their condos.  The locals always get kind of crabby when the tourists are making the lines longer and the aisles more crowded.  I did have about an hour of downtime though when I went to be a greeter in Lawn and Garden so that a coworker could go to lunch.  Hardly anyone uses that entrance, so it was basically an hour of quiet time.  I used this time to reflect on the talks that we have been having and to pray for guidance in applying them to my life.  So Wal-Mart pretty much paid me $8.30 to pray for an hour.  Not bad if you ask me.  J
I was super thankful for that peaceful hour when I went back to cashiering.  The lines were unending.  I tried to go fast because there were so many people (some with multiple shopping carts full of stuff) and I ended up with quite a few paper cuts from grabbing and scanning so quickly.
I was feeling kind of stressed when I got back to Project and ready to just call it a night.  Then I checked my mail and saw a package from my mom.  She sent me a shirt that says “I Love Target.”  J  I love her sense of humor.  This shirt could not have come on a better day.  I can’t wait to wear it.  All of my STP Wal-Mart coworkers will think it is funny.  I am very thankful for my job and overall I enjoy it.  I love my coworkers, managers, and the customers (they make my life interesting); but it is always good to have a laugh.
Well, my roomies will be back from Wal-Mart soon.  We had different schedules today.  I am just sitting at Lindsey’s laptop eating PB&J grits with strawberries and attempting to catch up on journals.  Good Night!
